Opposition leader urges citizens to consider ousting PLD from power

Santo Domingo.– Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) secretary general Jesus (Chu) Vasquez on Saturday urged Dominicans to take a moment during Christmas and New Year to think of the way to oust the "purple nightmare" represented by President Danilo Medina.

He said it is vital for the country to undergo a change of government next year, "a government that brings welfare, prosperity and security to the Dominican society; all Dominicans should reflect and vote for PRM presidential candidate Luis Abinader."

Chu Vasquez pointed out the country is mired in poverty, insecurity and corruption, so he encouraged the people to get empowered and oust ruling Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) in the upcoming presidential elections in May.
