Light rains, high temperatures

Santo Domingo.- The National MeteorologicalOffice (ONAMET) informs that a high-pressure system over the north Atlantic ismoving eastwards and creating favorable conditions for cloudy skies and lightrainfall today.

Rain is forecast for the afternoon andevening, especially in the provinces of La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro deMacorís, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, San Cristóbal, Peravia, Azua, Samaná,Duarte, María Trinidad Sánchez, Sánchez Ramírez, La Vega and Monseñor Nouel.

Temperatures will be high during the day andat night due to a warm, humid wind from the southeast, but may cool down somewhat inthe early hours of Tuesday.

The sky will be partly cloudy this morning,with light rains in the southeast, southwest, north, northeast, centralmountains and border region.

In Santo Domingo and surrounding areasrainfall is forecast for the evening and night. Maximum temperatures of 29ºC and 30ºC and minimum temperatures between 19ºC and 21ºC are expected.
