Dominican capital flights scrubbed as storm plows into Eastern US

Santo Domingo.- SnowstormJonas is barreling through the US East Coast for which United Airlines announcedit canceled two of its flights scheduled for Saturday from New Jersey to LasAmericas International Airport, (AILA), Dominican airports management company Aerodomsaid Friday.

It said those affectedso far are flights 1470 and 1473 with origin and destination to Newark, NewJersey.

Aerodom said internationalflight operations at Puerto Plata and Samana airports are normal thus far.

It recommendscontacting local airlines by phone or by consulting their websites to check thestatus of flights that could be affected by delays or cancellations.
