Caribbean Investment Summit 2016 – Miami

Bridgetown, Barbados.- The Caribbean Export Development Agency(Caribbean Export) in collaboration with the Caribbean Association of InvestmentPromotion Agencies (CAIPA) will host the 3rd staging of the CaribbeanInvestment Summit on May, 13, 2016 at the Marriott Hotel, Miami, USA. The eventwill be funded and co-organized by the Inter-American Development Bank as apart of a Regional Public Goods Initiative entitled: Support to Foreign DirectInvestment in the Caribbean.

Produced with support fromFinancial Times’ fDi Magazine, the Caribbean Investment Summit offers a uniquewindow for investors to the region’s diverse opportunities available to them,and aims to attract a wealth of potential investors interested in the dynamicCaribbean brand.

Following the success of twoprevious events in London and Mexico, the Summit will bring focus to theregion’s key industry sectors: renewable energy, business process outsourcing(BPO) and niche tourism. Continuing under the theme, The Climate is Right inthe Caribbean, the event will provide an unmatched platform for regionalInvestment Promotion Agencies, senior government officials and Ministers ofGovernment to expose their ‘shovel ready projects’ to prospective investors intheir newest target market, the United States.

Over 100 high net worthindividuals and investors are poised to gather at this year’s Summit which willonce again be emceed by Courtney Fingar, Editor-in-Chief, fDi Magazine,Financial Times Group. The event also seeks to take advantage of the proximityof the United States to the Caribbean, as the region continues to targetstrategic investors under the rollout of the recently developed RegionalInvestment Promotion Strategy. At thisyears’ event awards will be given to the Regional Investor of the Year andthose in attendance will hear first-hand from investors who have successfullyinvested in the region.
