City Council opens artificial beach in Santo Domingo Malecon

Santo Domingo.- The National District City Council opened this morning an artificial beach in the Santo Domingo Malecon for those who cannot afford to travel during Easter break or prefer to stay in the capital,

The project is about 300 meters long, features 12 swimming pools (eight for children and four for adults) and will be opened until 1pm Sunday. Palm trees, umbrellas and lounge chairs are included.

The area also includes two medical clinics and two ambulances in case of emergencies while over 400 security agents will be in charge of safety and order.
