Presidential ballots to be printed this week

Santo Domingo.- Central Electoral Board (JCE) president RobertoRosario affirmed Sunday that the political parties have already approved the presidentialballot, which is ready to print this week.

He said delegates of the parties and JCE technicians would concludethe review of the municipal ballots on Monday morning, verifying the names,colors and symbols.

Yesterday Rosario showed ballot A’s (presidential) finaldesign, signed by all party delegates. “These will be the first to be printed.”

The official said each party has to approve the 158 municipalballots to be used in as many municipalities in the.

He said since many municipal candidates have yet to providetheir photos, the JCE used the one that figures in their ID (cedula).

The general elections are slated for May 15.
