Medina tours digs for Cableway, Metro Line 2

Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina on Thursday touredthe construction sites of the cable car and the 2nd Metro Line,where the engineers in charge of the works provided detailed explanations.

In his unscheduled visit Medina toured the stations andobserved the construction of the cableway’s towers, located at various pointsshall be at.

Santo Domingo Metro deputy director Leonel Carrasco and LaBarquita Renovation Commission director José Miguel González Cuadra apprised Medinaon the progress of the new mass transit system.

The 5-kilometers long Santo Domingo Cableway will feature fivestations: Charles de Gaulle, Sabana Perdida, La Nueva Barquita, Los Tres Brazosand Gualey.
