Opposition VP candidate concerned about violence and insecurity

Santo Domingo.- Opposition Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) vice presidential candidate Carolina Mejia expressed her concern about what women, men, youth and children live daily in the Dominican Republic due to the high rates of crime and insecurity.

According to Elnuevodiario.com.do, Mejia said the situation of "insecurity in which we live requires us to take actions that affect the economic and social development of all, and that’s one of the points the government of Luis Abinader will address if elected president."

During a ceremony sponsored by "Reformists Women Change," the PRM vice presidential candidate also said that Abinader’s government is committed to eradicate gender inequality, so both men and women have equal chances in public jobs.
