Justice and Transparency asks Dominicans to go massively to polls

Santo Domingo.- Justice and Transparency Foundation (FJT) president Trajano Potentini on Saturday said that exercising the right to vote is a citizen’s fundamental duty so he encouraged the Dominican people to go massively to the polls on Sunday.

Potentini said that the apathy and disinterest overwhelming a lot of Dominicans today is the result of the disappointment generated by the clientelism actions that our political class exhibit.

According to Potentini, the main challenge of democracy is to provide the country with a legal framework comprising the new developments of the constitution, and above all to restore the confidence of Dominicans in policy-making.
