Ruling party to take most seats in Congress

Santo Domingo.- In the Central Electoral Board’s (JCE)latest bulletin on congressional voting Dominican Republic’s ruling PLD party leadsin 27 of the country’s 32 provinces, with the opposition parties PRM has two;the PRSC two and the BIS, one.

The PLD is on the path to a virtual sweep, while he PRM is stillholding on to El Seibo and Puerto Plata, the PRSC leads in San Pedro andValverde and the BIS in Ocoa.

The JCE released the results Monday early, in its 3rdand latest bulleting.
