Electoral Board hacking suspect gets 3 months in jail

Santo Domingo.- The National District court Permanent on Wednesdayruled three months of pretrial detention against a man charged with trying tohack the Central Electoral Board (JCE) website last Thursday.

Judge Jose Alejandro Vargas ordered the accused JohanserAntonio Ruiz, who works as a guard at Santo Domingo’s INTEC Institute, remandedto La Victoria prison.

The court ruled for the High-Tech Crimes Office of theProsecutor’s request to deny bail for the accused.
