Police announces more agents, motorcycles to fight crime spree

Santo Domingo.- Starting today Monday several National Policedivisions will strengthen the patrols in Greater Santo Domingo, as part of its heightenedeffort to combat the latest spate of crime plaguing the country.

Police chief Nelson Peguero said a total 300 agents and 50motorcycles are to be included in patrols, with additional agents from the CentralDiv., Criminal Investigations and Preventive Police.

In that regard, Police spokesman Maximo Baez said the CriminalDiv., which he affirms hadn’t been involved in patrols for 5 years, will bolsteractions to prevent crimes.
