Dominican is Arizona town’s youngest mayor ever: Douglasdispatch.com

Douglas, Arizona.- Robert Uribe, of Dominican origin, hasbecome the youngest mayor in the history of the town, Douglas, when he took theoath on Friday.

Douglasdispatch.com reports that over 2,000 voters went tothe polls last week to vote in Douglas’ Primary Election in hopes of electing anew mayor.

Uribe’ rivals for the mayoral post included Luis Greer and MitchLindemann.

Prior to the runoff Uribe received 570 votes (28.16percent) to Greer’s 895 (44.22 percent), followed by Lindemann’s 520 ballots(27.08 percent).
