Electoral Court busy on rulings in wake of questioned polls

Santo Domingo.- The Superior Electoral Court on Friday withheldruling on three injunction requests filed against the Central Electoral Board foralleged irregularities during the May 15 general elections, in wake ofquestioned polls.

The high court also postpone for Wednesday June 22, its rulingion the cease and desist motion requested by candidates for deputies HicianoFelix Santiago, Hermanas Mirabal province (north); Dante Alfonso Mendez ofIndependencia (west), and Francisco Antonio Soliman of La Altagracia (east).

During the hearing that began 9am the court said in the caseof the three injunctions its ruling will be handed down after 2:30pm.

The request for injunctions were filed by La Vega (central)deputy Elpidio Infante; La Guayiga town mayoral candidate and Pedro Brand|(south) mayoral candidate Vierka Agramonte González.
