CMD president says dialogue with Govt. is ‘in limbo’

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Doctors Union (CMD) president Waldo Ariel Suero said today that the dialogue with the Government is "in limbo" and publicly urged Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo and Public Health minister Altagracia Guzman to resume negotiations.

According to elnuevodiario.com.do, he said "they have left the dialogue, I do not know for what reasons; on the other hand, the government does not have good intentions in these negotiations."

Suero added that a sample of those bad intentions is the fact of inviting a group of nurses to the National Palace. "They met with a nursing sector that is outside the National Health Pact (PANASALUD) in order to devide us. That is a sign that the government is acting in bad faith," he pointed out.
