Santo Domingo.- The talks leading to the signing of the ElectricityPact continue between representatives of the government, business, social andlabor sectors, which discussed competition at Wednesday’s meeting, but endedwithout consensus among the parties.

"We’re not wrestling with boys. The people of the governmentaren’t boys either, I believe, nor are we here to do something improperly. Noone has indicated a date for signature. Until the entire program is conduced andall proposals are seen, we will be working,” said Economic and Social Council(CES) president monsignor Agripino Nuñez yesterday.

"We want an agreement to come out of this effort so thecountry may have permanent and quality energy with a price within reach of thepockets of the people. Anything that is said is not part of the program,"the prelate said after the meetings aimed a drafting a document of consensus.
