Ex-official fired by Medina charged with embezzlement

Santo Domingo.- The Office of the of Anticorruption Prosecutor(Pepca),on Friday announced the indictment on embezzlement charges against NationalPotable Waters Institute (INAPA) former director Alberto Holguin.

Journalist and TV host Edith Febles confirmed the informationon Twitter.

“PEPCA formalized at noon today the charge against formerdirector of INAPA Alberto Holguin, accusing him of alleged corruption,” Feblestweeted.

President Danilo Medina fired the former official after Holguinwarned that the capital was running out of water as the result of the severe drought that dried up aqueducts last year.
