French envoy meets with Dominican grads who will study in France

Santo Domingo.- French ambassador José Gómez held a farewell reception to congratulate the 57 Dominican grads who will study in French universities as part of the scholarship program offered by the European country.

The Dominican professionals will attend masters and doctoral studies in areas such as law, medicine, engineering, business, education, communication and arts. Many of them learned French thanks to a 9-month training course at French Alliance which had the support of the Higher Education Ministry (MESCYT).

Ambassador Gómez thanked the MESCyT and the Dominican institutions involved for their support in strengthening the ties between the two countries, and wished a good journey to the young professionals.

The event was organized with the support of Campus France, the office that guides the Dominican students interested in studying in France. According to its representative Alexis Brunilda Marquez, "the Dominican Republic should take full advantage of the scholarship program offered by the French government, as these Dominican professionals will return home ready to give the best of themselves."
