Plane makes belly landing at Las Americas, no one hurt

Santo Domingo.- A plane which encountered technical problems upon takeoff with 13 peopleon board landed on its belly at Las Americas International Airport Thursdayafternoon.

No passengers of crew were injured, althoughtwo of the occupants were treated for anxiety.

Two pilots, seven adults and four childrenwere on the plane of Sky High air services company, according to the DominicanCivil Aviation Institute (IDAC).

"When it took off, the pilot noticedthat the front landing gear didn’t fully retract, so the decision to return wasadopted immediately, informing air traffic control tower " the IDAC saidin a statement.

The plane, headed to Anguila, circled the aiport until all fuel was dumped prior to landing.
