New free zones to create 4,759 jobs, income of US$7.7M

Santo Domingo.- The National Export Free ZonesCouncil on Wednesday announced approval to install seven new companies and twofree zone parks with a global investment of RD$2.2 billion that will create some4,759 jobs and around US$7.7 million in income.
Industry Commerce and minister TemístoclesMontás made the announcement accompanied by Council Executive director LuisaFernandez.
In a statement, the official added that the newfree-zone parks were developed with an investment of RD$1.98 billion.
