The Northeast continue under flash flood, landslide warnings

 

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) on Friday said María Trinidad Sánchez and Duarte provinces (northeast) are still under flash flood and landslide warnings from swelled rivers and creeks.

The National Weather Office (ONAMET) meanwhile forecasts that the moderate to heavy showers will continue, with possible thunderstorms and gusty wind during this afternoon and early evening.

The ONAMET said the severe weather conditions are due to the high humidity and unstable air mass that still covers most of the national territory.
