Ex-energy chief questioned again into Odebrecht US$32.0M bribe

R. Segura

Santo Domingo.- Justice minister Jean Alain Rodríguez is currently interviewing former State-owned Dominican Electric Utility (CDEEE) CEO Radhamés Segura, as the interrogations into Odebrecht’s admitted US$32.0 million bribe to secure lucrative construction contracts continue.

On January 16 the former government official and senior member of the ruling party (PLD) was also interrogated in the case involving the Brazilian company.

Segura was subpoenaed to appear at 2:30pm, but arrived before 2pm according to Justice Ministry sources quoted by diariolibre.com.

The appointment is to “supplement the interrogation that had been carried out,” according to Rodriguez.
