Top prosecutor doesn’t rule out more Odebrecht case arrests

Santo Domingo.- Justice minister Jean Alain Rodriguez on Wednesday said additional arrests in the Odebrecht case cannot be ruled out, because the investigation is ongoing and “anything’s possible.”

He said after several of the accused were sent to prison, the investigation continues its normal course.

There are 10 people in jail linked to the case, eight in Najayo prison and two under house arrest because of health issues.

The official also denied that the accused in the Odebrecht bribery case get privileges.

Rodriguez spoke during the incineration of 1,095 kilos of drugs at 1st Army Brigade headquarters, 25 kilometers north of the capital on the Duarte highway.
