Santo Domingo.- Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET) director Frener Bello on Wed. announced additional at strategic points, to crack down on motorcycle or auto races.

Citizens have expressed concern with the constant races on major arteries of Greater Santo Domingo, and don’t understand why they go unnoticed by authorities.

“With the deployment of new units to prevent automobile competition, the law enforcement agency strengthens its efforts to avert unperceived threats to the lives of other users of the traffic routes, incurring these actions late at night and at dawn,” Bello said in a statement.
