Green March, leftists, lose a seasoned activist

Santo Domingo.- The social leader Jesus Adon died Thurs. morning from respiratory failure, after being hospitalized for over a month in the capital’s Gautier hospital.

Communist Labor Party (PCT) secretary general Manuel Salazar said funeral arrangements for the labor and activist of the Green March, are underway at La Altagracia Funeral Home on Bolivar Av.

“Unfortunate, painful. We have lost one of our leaders. We have said farewell to a great comrade, a full-time communist for the cause of the revolution,” Salazar said in a statement.

Adón, a senior leader of the PCT, formed part of leftist groups and university student organization for over 40 years.

“Jesus is leaving us, but he stays with us. He will live in our hearts and fists. Long live the revolution! ,”said Salazar.
