Green March to protest at the Nation’s birthplace

Santo Domingo.- Green March activist Manuel Robles on Wed. announced  a march “for the end of impunity, better social investment,” in San Cristóbal province (south) on Sun., Nov. 5.

He said the march, to include the various towns, will demand an investigation of government officials in San Cristobal who’ve been linked to corruption.

“We will march for the construction of bridges, dikes in the rivers, road repairs, guarantees of quality medicine and care in the hospitals, expanded health services for communities and neighborhoods, and for the cleanup of the markets, among other demands,” Robles said in a press conference held in front of the Justice Ministry.

He added that the march on Sunday will also be held in honor of the people who first drafted the Dominican Constitution and the respect for life.
