Green March aims to rid the country of its political quagmire

Santo Domingo .- Dozens of social organizations from southern provinces on Sun. proposed a program to end impunity and take the country out of the current political and institutional quagmire, the grassroots movement Green March said in a statement read in Azua.

Organizations of labor, agro producers, merchants, teachers, students, small and medium business leaders, homemakers and other sectors agreed on the need for profound institutional and political change, stressing that the current situation favors political crimes and guarantee their impunity.

Delegates from organizations from Barahona, Elías Piña, Independencia, San Juan, Bahoruco, Azua, Peravia, San José de Ocoa and San Cristóbal pledged to fight and guarantee the materialization of the “#Program to end impunity.”
