Santo Domingo.- The heavy rainfall that affected the city Tuesday caused flooding on several thoroughfares, leading to traffic delays and broken down vehicles.

According to the National Meteorological Office (Onamet), the rainfall continued into the evening with east/northeast winds that caused these weather conditions in Greater Santo Domingo and San Cristóbal.

Conditions are expected to ease Wednesday but the east/northeast wind will continue to create cloud cover bringing light and scattered showers in the afternoon and early evening, especially in the north, northeast and southeast regions, and in the central mountains.
