Santo Domingo.- The weather system affecting the country has moved away, but some scattered showers are still expected Monday, especially in the afternoon and early evening affecting the Caribbean coastal plains, the south east and other parts of the central mountains.

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) is maintaining its advisory to owners of small and medium-sized boats to remain close to the shoreline and not venture out to the open seas.

Nighttime and early morning temperatures will remain cool, especially in mountain and valley regions, with some seasonal early morning mist.

The prevailing east-southeast winds will bring in more clouds on Tuesday, which could cause scattered showers along the Caribbean coastal plains, the southeast and north east.

Maximum temperatures in Greater Santo Domingo will range from 28ºC and 30ºC with lows of between 20ºC and 22ºC.
