Downpours: 10 provinces under flash flooding alert

Santo Domingo.- Rivers and streams have overflowed from the rains over much of the country and cut off 13 communities in María Trinidad Sánchez province (NW), the Emergency Operations Center (COE) announced Mon.

It said 10 provinces are under a flash flooding alert.

The COE also reports damages to houses in the village El Drago, where a river overflowed its banks.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Office forecasts that the downpours will continue during the next 72 hours from the unstable air left by a trough.
