Scattered showers, mild temps continue

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (Onamet) on Fri. forecast  light to moderate showers starting noon, especially the north, northeast, southeast regions and Central Mountains.

It said the rains are from moisture dragged by the east-northeast wind, and the cloud remnants left by the trough that left the forecast area.

“By tomorrow, Saturday, a slight increase in moisture content is expected, because a low trough will be on the country at low tropospheric levels, this will allow it to generate cloudiness with scattered showers and wind gusts at times, especially towards the northeast, southeast and the Central mountain range regions,” Onamet said.

The seasonably mild temperatures will continue especially at night until early morning, lower towards the mountain areas.
