Santo Domingo.- The Young business leaders grouped in ANJE on Wed. railed against the criteria used to appoint officials, and affirmed that society needs public servants capable of making the social and economic transformations that the nation demands.

For ANJE president Raul Hoyo, it’s vital to select public servants based on “meritocracy” and professionals of the highest quality, and where possible, the integration of new profiles to the public task.

In a statement, the head of ANJE expressed concern with the criteria used to appoint officials.

Hoyo said he’s worried about the Government’s vision regarding the designations of public posts and their impact on the country’s institutional development. “Our country requires officials capable of carrying out the social and economic transformations demanded by the nation in a responsible and innovative way.”
