Poll: 3-way tie for ruling party’s presidential candidacy

Santo Domingo.- The latest survey by Mark Penn, Danilo Medina, Margarita Cedeño and Leonel Fernández are technically tied, with 24% of respondents saying they’d vote for the President; 22% for the Vice President and 21% for the former chief executive.
The open question led to a technical tie (24% -21%) within the 3-point margin of error in the poll focused on the ruling party (PLD), in which former Justice minister Francisco Domínguez rounds out the pack with 7%, while 17% is undecided.
Opposition party
The open question was also asked to potential voters in the main opposition party, PRM, where Luis Abinader leads with 40%, to David Collado’s 31%, to former president Hipólito Mejía’s 16%.
