911 Emergency System reaches the east region

La Romana, Dominican Republic.- President Danilo Medina on Tues. inaugurated the 911 Emergency System in La Romana and Bayahíbe township in La Altagracia province (east).

Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo said the system counts with 12 doctors, 12 nurses and 48 technicians, 60 collaborators among paramedics and drivers, and 10 ambulances and 10 motorcycles.

He said the National Police will also provide 138 officers, with 10 pickup trucks and 13 motorcycles.

The official added that the Defense Ministry will provide 35 soldiers, a pickup truck and six motorcycles.
