US envoy visits Dominican leader, no details

Santo Domingo.- United States ambassador, Robin Bernstein on Wed. visited president Danilo Medina at the National Palace near noon Wednesday, but details have yet to surface.

Bernstein had been called to consultation by the US State Dept along with the other Washington envoys in the region just one day after presenting her credentials to Medina, over the establishment of ties with China and ditching Taiwan.

The Dominican Government discarded that the measure was the US backlash, since Bernstein returned to her post just days later.
