Santo Domingo.- The United States will provide computer equipment to the Emergency Operations Center (COE) and will support a massive maritime rescue drill on Nov. 8 and 9, the relief agency announced Tuesday.

The COE issued the statement after US ambassador in Robin Bernstein visited its facilities Tuesday, to “get to know closely” the joint collaboration projects.

She said the US Government will also provide training, from December 3 to 14, for Dominican first responders in the management of the Incident Command System.

The US authorities will also train COE staff in geolocation and management of information flow and storage.

Bernstein stressed Washington’s support for the Allied Humanitarian Forces exercises (Fahum 2019) slated for next year organized by the US Southern Command.
