The capital braces for called transport walkout

Santo Domingo.- Several transport walkouts were staged in Greater Santo Domingo early Mon. to protest the price of fuels, which, despite markdowns for several weeks, their cost is still considered too high.

The commuters affected had to resort to other ways to get to work.

On Nov. 4 a movement sponsored by the powerful bus owners union Fenatrano called a strike in the capital today, however, a surprise walkout  \yesterday left hundreds of passengers stranded.

Fenatrano early Tuesday announced a press conference for 10am today.
