Navarrete-Puerto Plata highway expansion advances

Several private companies that have contracts in the expansion of the Navarrete Puerto Plata highway continue to advance the progress of this work.

In some sections of land route forty, it has been necessary to divert the traffic to avoid car accidents. In sectors such as Maimon, the entrance to the cruise port, Imbert and the Altamira tunnel heavy equipment and construction workers labor 24 hours.

Some areas of the road are ready for asphalt, while in other sectors they are installing gutters and grading stones in preparation.

Transport companies and businessmen alike have demanded the completion of this critically needed expansion project.
