Walkers’ mission: raise cancer awareness

Santo Domingo.- The Walkers for Life Foundation, in its mission to raise awareness about cancer, the importance of routine screening and early detection, held its massive walk along the Malecon and the Colonial City where dozens of people joined and affirmed their commitment.

In a statement the Foundation indicates that the walk included over two kilometers of the Malecón in the “grand celebration of life and hope.”

It said the objective of the walks is to raise funds for the Foundation’s “Route of Hope” with a series of free health care by medical specialists Pap smears, PSA and Sono-mammogram for men and women in remote communities of the country.
