Dominican Republic issues tropical storm alert

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (ONAMET) at 6AM Tuesday issued a tropical storm alert from Saona Island to Punta Palenque in San Cristóbal, and from Samaná to Puerto Plata.

The weather report indicates that Tropical Storm Dorian is crossing the Lesser Antilles with maximum sustained winds of 85 km / h, moving west / northwest at about 20 km / h.

It forecast rainfalls of around 50 to 120 millimeters from Thursday associated with the tropical storm, mostly to the northeast, southeast and central regions of the country.
