Dorian to be felt in Dominican Republic’s east region today
Santo Domingo.- The effects of Tropical Storm Dorian will be felt in Dominican Republic’s eastern region of the today, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.
Last night Dorian was located near latitude 16.0 north, longitude 63.0 west, moving northwest at approximately 20 kilometers per hour.
According to the bulletin issued at 11pm Tuesday, the storm will skirt the northeast Caribbean Sea and pass over or near Puerto Rico today and then continue near or just east of Hispaniola on Wednesday night.
Dorian’s maximum sustained winds are 85 kilometers per hour, with tropical storm force winds extending outward to 75 km from the center.
