Rainfall Forecast by Meteorology

SANTO DOMINGO. – The trough is located on the wind channel away from the country, this will allow some morning rains in scattered points of the Caribbean coastal plain.

This afternoon we anticipate that there will be increased cloudiness generating downpours, thunderstorms and possible gusts of wind towards the northeast, southeast, northwest, north, Central mountain range regions and the border area associated with the diurnal cycle and the drag of the warm south-southeast wind that will maintain a warm thermal sensation.

For Saturday, a sky with scattered clouds and sun is foreseen during the morning hours; However, late in the afternoon we will have increased cloudiness associated with the daytime cycle with local downpours, thunderstorms over the northeast, southeast, Central mountain range, northwest regions and the border area, into the early hours of the night.

On Sunday, a new tropical wave and a trough will approach, increasing cloudiness, especially in the afternoon, resulting in downpours and thunderstorms over the northeast, southeast, Central mountain range, northern regions, and the border area.
