American, Spirit cancel flights on Hurricane Dorian

Santo Domingo.- Hundreds of passengers who planned to travel to Miami, were stranded Monday at Las Americas International Airport, after the cancellation of at least 17 flights, on the threat posed by Hurricane Dorian, which caused serious damages through the Bahamas.

Among the American Airlines flights canceled figure 1072, 1337, 21 20, 1154 and 539 of departing and returning through Las Americas. It also canceled 935 to Miami, , departing and returning from Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata.

Spirit Airlines

Airports manager Aerodom announced the cancellation of flights 145 -166 142 -1724 to and from Orlando, Florida.

Spirit also canceled flights 1626 and 1724 to Fort Lauderdale, Florida from Las Americas. Spirit also canceled flights 1049-0055, 1042 and 0657 to Newark, New Jersey.

Aerodom recommended that passengers affected by the cancellation of their flight should previously contact airline representatives before heading to the airport to prevent mishaps.
