Big Pappy will return to Dominican Republic, after probe

Boston.- Former Major League slugger, David Ortiz, will not return to his native Dominican Republic until he has the results of the private investigation he ordered, after  he was shot June 9 in a bar in Santo Domingo Este .

Ortiz, 43, and Most Valuable Player of the 2013 World Series, spoke to Dominican journalist Tony Dandrades, of Univisión, the first interview to the press after recovering from the point-blank shooting.

Through tears, the former designated batter questioned the reaction of people through social networks after the incident that almost took his life. “All these people of the networks and all these people who misinform wanting to ruin the figure of one and what one through the years with sacrifice has won, man. That is not easy and you in a bed dying.”
