US can seek life sentence for Dominican Republic’s most wanted

Santo Domingo.- The United States could request the grand jury of the Southern District of Florida to a life sentence against César Emilio Peralta, “César El Abusador” for drug trafficking in its territory.

The information is in the request for extradition by the US authorities to the Dominican Republic where they establish that “the maximum penalty for violation of sections 963, 959 (a) and 960 (b) (1) (B) of title 21 of the United States Code, as imputed in the second charge of replacement, is a term of life imprisonment.”

The document indicates that, according to confidential information, since 1997 Peralta has been in the drug trafficking business and that from 2007 to 2015 three informants infiltrated the purchase and trafficking of controlled substances in the Dominican Republic.
