Poll: former president will win ruling party primaries

Santo Domingo.- The pollster Asisa on Wed. published a survey 11 days away from the ruling party (PLD) primaries, which found that  69.3% of those who say they will vote will do so for former president Leonel Fernández, while 29.4% would vote for former Public Works minister Gonzalo Castilo and 1% said they don’t know.

As to the opposition party (PRM), 78.6% said they will vote for Luis Abinder; 16.4% for former president Hipólito Mejía and o.1% for Wellington Arnaud, while 4% say they don’t know.

The study was carried out from September 21 to 23 at the request of businessman Radhames Fabian Ureña.

As for the sympathies for political parties, according to Asisa the PRM has 32% and the PLD 59%; the PRD 3.1% and the PRSC 1%

Asisa said the poll was made from September 21 to 23 with 1,481 voters.
