3 Dominican-Americans launch bids for US House seats

Y. Rodriguez.

New York.- Three Dominicans recently launched their candidacies to as many seats in the House of Representatives of the United States, representing districts 15 and 16 of the Bronx, NY.

The candidates, including a woman, will compete against seven others belonging to the Democratic Party who aspire to be elected in the 15th district.

Councilman Ydanis Rodríguez, activist Samelys López, and former veteran Sammy Ravelo seek to follow the footsteps of Dominican-born congressman Adriano Espaillat, who was the first Dominican elected to the US Congress, in the 13th district.
