ONAMET forecasts some showers and possible thunderstorms for this Sunday

SANTO DOMINGO.- The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) reported that this Sunday a tropical wave will arrive in the national territory, which will move to the south of the country, so occasional cloudy increases are forecast in the afternoon, with local showers and thunderstorms scattered in points of northeast, southeast, and the Central mountain range.

For Monday, according to the ONAMET bulletin, there will be scattered clouds in the morning hours, but in the afternoon occurrences of clouds are expected accompanied by showers and thunderstorms isolated in different parts of the country extending into the late night.

During the last evening hours of this Saturday, some clouds were observed accompanied by downpours, thunderstorms and isolated gusts of wind in points of northeast, southeast, Central mountain range including the great Santo Domingo, these were products of the diurnal cycle and the trough in height. For tonight, these activities are forecast to disappear gradually, giving way to a sky of scattered clouds in much of the national geography.
