Surf’s up

Enthusiastic surfers took advantage this morning of east-southeast winds and strong waves near the coast of the capital on the beach of Güibia for surfing. The National Meteorological Office (ONAMET) predicted waves of three to six feet high on the Dominican coast today and alerted small boat operators not to venture offshore.
