28 Dominicans stranded in Canada are back home

Toronto.-A group of 28 Dominicans who were stranded in Canada arrived in the Dominican Republic Thursday on the WestJet airline ferry flight from Toronto via Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata.

The Dominicans were stranded in Canada as a result of the suspension of commercial flights due to the closure of borders that both nations implemented from mid-March as a measure to counter the COVID-19 pandemic.
